1. Access to your home

Most of our customers are not at home during our cleaning sessions. If you won't be at home, kindly provide us with a key and, if necessary, an alarm code. Alternatively, if you prefer to be home and allow the cleaners access, we will offer you an estimated arrival time within a two-hour window—for instance, between 8:30-10:30 am or 12:00-2:00 pm. While we strive to accommodate your preferred time of day, please understand that due to traffic and unforeseen conditions, providing an exact arrival time for our cleaners can be challenging.

2. Rescheduling or canceling your appointments

You have the flexibility to reschedule, skip, add, or cancel any of your scheduled cleanings. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. However, please keep in mind that our staff relies on scheduled cleaning appointments for compensation. Providing us with timely notice enables us to efficiently manage our schedule and accommodate other customers.

Upon making a booking, we reserve a spot in our cleaners' calendar exclusively for you! Consequently, cancellations significantly impact our cleaners' schedules. To mitigate this, we do regretfully impose a 50% service cancellation fee for all cancellations occurring less than 24 hours in advance. For same-day cancellations, we apply an 80% cancellation fee.

Excessive cancellations may lead to the discontinuation of our services. All cancellations must be coordinated through the front office; kindly refrain from informing your cleaner directly.

3. Scheduling an Appointment – Credit Card Required

To schedule an appointment you will have to provide us with valid credit card.

We take your credit card information to hold your appointment and secure timely payments. Your credit card will not be charged unless we do not receive payment for service in a timely manner.

4. Payment/Billing

Payment is expected in full the day of the cleaning. You may pay by cash, check, or by major credit card.

All unpaid balances will be charged to your credit card with all applicable fees. A 15% finance charge will be added to unpaid balances over 30 days. All bank charges incurred due to NSF checks will be passed on to the client.

Invoices that are over 90 days past due are turned to a collection agency. We reserve the right to take all legal actions to collect the amount owed and all applicable legal fees.

5. No Soliciting Policy

When entering into an agreement for services with Myers Clean, you agree not to solicit for hire any staff member introduced to you by Myers Clean for any home-related services.

We invest a significant amount of time and resources in finding, interviewing, checking references and backgrounds, and training our cleaners. Upon hiring, our cleaners sign an agreement prohibiting them from performing any home-related service for any of our past or present customers.

If you are found to have solicited one of our staff members, please be advised that our referral/training fee is $2,000 per hired employee. Payment is due within 30 days from the date on the invoice. We consider our employees our most valuable asset and charge accordingly.

6. 48 Hours Guarantee

Myers Clean holds a strong belief in the exceptional quality of service our cleaners provide. To underscore this confidence, we extend to you our guarantee. For all initial or one-time cleanings without specific time constraints from the client, as well as for all recurring cleanings, we offer a 48-hour guarantee. Should you find any aspect of our service unsatisfactory, we invite you to contact us within 48 hours post-cleaning. In such instances, we will promptly dispatch the first available team the following day to address and re-clean any areas of concern, ensuring your complete satisfaction at no additional charge.

7. Personal items and Items of irreplaceable value

The nature of our cleaning services necessitates our staff to interact with virtually all items in your home. While we exercise the utmost care during the cleaning process, we recognize that accidents or damages may occur. In the event of any damage or loss, please promptly notify Myers Clean within 48 hours of the cleaning date.

We are committed to transparency, and if an item is accidentally damaged during the cleaning, or if we discover any pre-existing damage, we will inform you immediately.

It's important to note that we assume no liability for damages or loss of items that are not properly secured or were damaged prior to our cleaning. Additionally, we are not responsible for damages resulting from faulty or improper installation of any item (e.g., heavy pictures hanging from thumbtacks, pre-existing dings in furniture). Items of extreme value, whether monetary or sentimental, should be dusted or cleaned by the homeowner.

Myers Clean limits its liability to replacement costs of up to $250 for each individual item, whichever is less, per occurrence. We assume that all surfaces, such as Marble, Granite, hardwood floors, etc., are sealed and prepared for cleaning without causing harm. We also advise homeowners to ensure that their floors are rated for exposure to water during our cleaning processes and if not, please be sure to alert our front-office.

8. Safety of our staff and others

We require the ability to work freely and without distractions to ensure the efficiency of our services. While every effort is made to work safely and cautiously, we cannot assume liability for the safety of others, including children and pets. It is important to note that any distractions impacting our ability to work in our normal fashion or speed may result in an additional charge for the extra time spent in the home.

Furthermore, if, for any reason, an employee of Myers Clean feels that their personal safety is jeopardized to the extent that they must leave the job site due to actions by the customer or others present, the customer will remain liable for the full cost of the job. Our commitment to safety is paramount, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining a secure work environment for our team.

9. Pets

We value the well-being of your pets and strive to ensure a safe environment for both them and our team. Please inform us of any specific instructions on how your pets should be handled, as we recognize their importance to your household.

For the safety of everyone involved, we do not engage in activities such as playing, feeding, or walking your pets, nor do we clean up after their accidents. Although we use environmentally friendly products in your home, it's essential to be aware that they may still pose a risk if swallowed, especially for children and pets.

While we take measures to ensure the health and happiness of everyone in your household, we cannot be held responsible for any damages caused by your pet within your home. In the case of a dog, if our cleaning crew arrives at your house and the dog is not secured, and our employees feel threatened, we reserve the right to refuse service. However, this would result in a full-service charge. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a safe and harmonious environment for both our team and your cherished pets.

10. Wait time

In situations where our employees experience a delay exceeding 15 minutes due to waiting for someone to open the door, bring keys, or complete necessary tasks, we reserve the right to adjust the duration of the appointment. This adjustment may involve reducing the allotted time by the amount our team members spent waiting. Your cooperation in maintaining timely access to the premises is greatly appreciated, allowing us to provide you with an efficient and effective cleaning service.

11. Getting ready for cleaning

For optimal cleaning results, we recommend that you clear any items from the floor. A clutter-free environment enables us to clean more thoroughly, ensuring the best possible outcome. Additionally, we kindly request that during hot days, your air conditioning be left on or lowered while our cleaners are in your home. In the winter, maintaining a comfortable indoor temperature is appreciated.

If there are any mechanical issues with your HVAC unit or if it should not be operated, please inform us in advance. It's important to note that we reserve the right to refuse service if there is no air conditioner or fan operational on hot days, or if the heat and hot water are turned off during cold winter days. Your cooperation in maintaining a conducive cleaning environment is valued, allowing us to deliver the highest quality service.

12. Supplies and Equipment

We furnish all necessary equipment, including commercial vacuum cleaners equipped with advanced micro-filtration filters. Our commitment is to utilize the most effective, efficient, and environmentally friendly cleaning supplies. While we are willing to accommodate the use of your provided cleaning products, we regret to inform you that we cannot accept responsibility for the outcomes associated with those products.

For jobs necessitating additional or unconventional supplies and equipment, please coordinate such requests through our office rather than directly with your cleaning crew. Any such specialized supplies will be billed accordingly. Examples of such situations may include polishing floors with wood polish after washing or polishing wood furniture. This ensures a streamlined process and optimal results for your specific cleaning needs. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these guidelines.

13. Referral discounts

As a token of our appreciation we will deduct $30 off your next cleaning for each booked referral of a new one-time paid customer to Myers Clean. Additionally, every third referral within a 12 month period results in 50% off your next cleaning service!

14. Pricing

We provide quotes based on the information provided. We reserve the right to adjust charges in accordance with services provided. Prices are subject to change without notice.

15. Special riders

We do not clean flat screens: TVs or computers.

We use mild detergent and water to clean your granite and marble when necessary.

Due to the variability in natural stone grades, such as marble, granite, or slate, and the diverse range of care products available, we do not endorse any specific brand for natural stone cleaners/sealers. We encourage you to consult with your stone care specialist to determine the most suitable products for your stone surfaces, and feel free to provide your preferred products for our use in your home.

Similarly, for wood furniture, we recommend checking with your wood care specialist for the best products, and you are welcome to supply your preferred items for our cleaning crew to utilize.

Our commitment to environmentally friendly practices is evident in our use of 'Green Seal' and/or Safer Choice certified cleaning solutions for general cleaning. These products are non-toxic and safe for your home, our team members, and the environment. However, for specialty cleanings such as ovens, non-eco certified products may be employed to achieve optimal results.

For stainless steel appliances, we avoid the use of abrasive materials, except for sinks. If a tough spot proves challenging with standard stainless steel cleaner and a soft cloth, we may leave the spot as is to prevent surface scratching.

Please be aware that we do not offer laundry services, nor do we organize or put away dishes, clothes, toys, books, and personal items. We make an effort to work around clutter, leaving items neatly piled in their original locations for your convenience.

As professionals, we aim to provide excellent service, but we are not miracle workers. In cases of pre-existing damage or extremely cluttered areas, we reserve the right to skip those sections to avoid further damage or injury. Our staff is not authorized to lift anything heavier than 30lb, move large or bulky furniture items, or take out more than 2 bags of trash on a regular visit.

It's important to note that no representation or warranty made by any person other than the owner, whether expressed or implied, shall be binding upon Myers Clean. By providing your credit card number and engaging in business with Myers Clean, you agree to enter into a verbal contract, accepting all policies, prices, terms, procedures for cancellation and rescheduling, as well as the terms and conditions of the Myers Clean Satisfaction Guarantee.

Please be aware that Myers Clean reserves the right to reevaluate rates and/or change the Service Agreement at any time without notice. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these guidelines.
